About the Journal
Quarterly Journal of Digital Socio-Cultural Studies is a scholarly quarterly publication dedicated to the field of digital technologies and their impact on the transformation of social life. Its primary aim is to expand the body of research and critical literature on cultural and social studies of digital technologies.
The journal explores how culture is transformed through the use of technology and, therefore, welcomes interdisciplinary research approaches as well as theoretical and methodological innovations in digital studies. It serves as a scientific platform for researchers interested in interdisciplinary perspectives on digital cultural and social studies.
The journal seeks to provide a space for publishing research that bridges various fields such as media studies, cultural studies, science and technology studies, sociology, gender studies, anthropology, game studies, information science, and art, all within the broader framework of the cultural and social dimensions of digital technology use.
Quarterly Journal of Digital Socio-Cultural Studies also addresses issues related to digital technologies, artificial intelligence, software and computer games, the internet, methodological innovations in digital research, theory, and book reviews.
This quarterly is published under a closed, double-blind peer review system and provides open access to all articles. The journal is owned by the Institute for Cultural, Social and Civilizational Studies of the Ministry of Science and was founded in Winter 2025 to create a research environment for both national and international scholars, with a focus on digital cultural and social studies.
The journal is available in both print and online formats and fully adheres to the standards and ethical principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
